Concept note · quotes vs parts Fabworks has no parts page, so old quotes are the only way back to a part, and guest quotes self-delete in 2 days. Kerf separates the two: quotes are moments in time (rename, duplicate, archive), but every uploaded part lives permanently in the Parts library whatever happens to the quote it arrived in.

Concept note · guest flow Signed-out visitors get this same page as a guest quote at a share URL that expires in 7 days, with one nudge: "create a free account to keep your quote and reorder in one click." No signup required to price or to buy. Share quote uses the same mechanism: the link holder sees the quote with a live Checkout button, so an engineer can hand a quote straight to whoever holds the card or raises the PO — one share flow covers "have a look" and "please pay for this."
Concept note · design checks Every part carries one of three states after upload: ✓ Checked (positive confirmation, not silence), ⚠ warning (you can still order — Fabworks lets warnings through too), or ✕ can't cut yet (checkout blocked with a fix path — OshCut's pattern). The quote summary rolls the states up. Add "garden-screen-panel" from your library to see a blocking error.

Concept note · library-first Parts don't have to arrive through a quote. Upload or create them here first — each is design-checked and priced on arrival — then pull them into quotes whenever you're ready. This suits the procurement pattern: an engineer stages the library, whoever holds the card orders from it. No competitor separates the two; their parts only exist inside quotes.

Concept note · remembered specs Each card shows either "Last ordered:" (set when an order is placed) or "Staged as:" (set at creation, or via "Set as this part's default" on a quote card). Draft-quote fiddling never silently rewrites the library — specs update only at those commit points, and order history always keeps an untouchable snapshot.

Concept note · reorder "Reorder" never blind-duplicates. It drops the stored part into a fresh quote, repriced on the current price book, with the old price shown beside the new one so any change is explained, not hidden.
Partner program

Make things with us

We love partnering with content creators to get the word out there. If you build, make, design or teach, and your audience would love custom-cut parts, we'd love to hear from you. Tell us about what you create and we'll be in touch.

Real builds, not ads

Kerf parts inside real projects your audience actually wants to watch. No scripted reviews, no banner reads.

We keep you cutting

Partners create the content; we back the making. Cutting credit on your account, plus a code your audience can actually use.

Long-term, not one-off

We'd rather grow with a handful of creators than sponsor a hundred one-offs. If it works, we keep building together.

Concept note · partner program The program itself is a Stage 3 build (codes, credits, attribution live on Stage 2 accounts). This page can ship earlier as a simple expression-of-interest capture, so a launch-partner list exists before the machinery does. Model: SendCutSend's partner-with-us page (credits for real-build content, deliberately selective, long-term).

Add to which quote?

Create a part from a template

Type your sizes, watch the part redraw, see the price before you save. All dimensions in mm.
Shape
Saved parts land in your Parts library and price like any upload — pick material, thickness and qty on the quote.
Concept note · part creator Every Tempus ToolBox portal (Ferracut, Laser Corp, Performax, LCE) ships a "Quick Part" parametric library, so in-portal templates are table stakes. Kerf's version out-does the rented one two ways: the preview redraws live as you type (Tempus's diagram is static), and each template later becomes a public indexable landing page ("online gasket cutting — enter your sizes") on waterjet materials ToolBox can't quote. Price deliberately waits for the quote card, where material, thickness and quantity — the real drivers — are chosen. Saved parts persist in the Parts library like any upload.
